Dr Peter Dawkins

I trained in Melbourne and spent several years in surgical training before adding obstetrics and then moving to the country as a rural GP. There followed 20 years in North East Victoria where I had the pleasure of working in a small community

, which allowed me to get to know my patients well.

I then spent time working in remote areas of Western Australia and undertaking further training in Skin Cancer Medicine before coming to settle into general practice in Central Victoria with a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and minor surgery.

I enjoy being involved in all the aspects of medical care that general practice encompasses.

Away from work I enjoy time with Penny on our small farm, looking after our goats and the odd sheep, playing squash and running to keep fit. I also enjoy a night out, but nothing beats pizza cooked in the wood-fired oven shared with a few friends.
