Dr Tanya Katz

BSc (Hons). MBBS (Hons), Postgrad Dip Surg Anat, DCH

Born Canadian, my love of travel (and helping people) brought me to Australia to study medicine at Sydney University. Graduating in 2010, I moved to Melbourne to pursue my passion for surgery. My hospital training was undertaken at the Alfred, Austin, Frankston and Northern Hospitals and was predominantly focussed in the field of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
With six years of surgical experience in the hospital system, I transitioned to General Practice in 2016 to pursue a more balanced lifestyle with my family in the Macedon Ranges.

I have a keen interest in skin cancer medicine and expertise in surgical procedures, including skin cancer excision and reconstruction as well as minor trauma, burns and wound management. Other interests of mine include mental health and musculoskeletal medicine.

Outside of work, you’ll find me with my three kids on an outdoor adventure or pottering around the garden at home.
