Dr Rafal Hirmiz

Dr Rafal Hirmiz is a specialist general and sexual health practitioner who started General Practice in 2019. Having worked in the Macedon Ranges and Sunbury, Dr Hirmiz knows the area well.

Dr Hirmiz enjoys providing holistic care across all areas of general practice. She has a strong focus on musculoskeletal medicine, she helps patients manage conditions such as joint injuries and sport related issues, she takes a practical approach to restoring movement and function, using evidence based medicine that may include exercise plans, joint injections and lifestyle support.

As she enjoys helping patients navigate their physical health, she is also committed to provide emotional and mental health support by creating a safe, non-judgemental space where every patient feels comfortable discussing their concerns.

She is currently working as a sexual health General Practitioner with Thorne Harbour Health, Australia's oldest HIV and LGBTIQ+ health organisation.

She can provide treatment in consultation with a multidisciplinary team that can involve a sexual health physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, endocrinologist, gynaecologist, radiology service and other speciality as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

  • Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (FRACGP)

  • Diploma in Child Health

  • Diploma in Women's Health

  • Gender diverse advanced training.
